How I love Parks

So I haven't exactly been posting... lately. Yeah, lately is an understatement. I blame the IB.
Since I'm a senior in my high school, my days are filled of non-stop studying #allday #errday (hashtags in the spirit of instagram craze)
So here's a little something from my trip to NYC ... last year. I'm going back this year so this is quite nostalgic. Bear with me.

Shoe Cravings

I'm going a bit on a shoe rampage at the moment. I just can't get enough of them, especially high-heeled sandals! There was a time where I was infatuated with pumps, but now it seems as if I am drawn to the more elegant silhouettes of classic sandals, redefined of course.

Here are a couple on my wish-list:
These ZARA neon sandals also come in white. Such a good bargain. I find that Zara's shoes are improving quite dramatically.

These have been on my radar for quite a while. Prada crystal sandals.

And of course, these stunning Givency glitter sandals!
And of course, the list continues ;)

Happy Easter!

Chanel and Gold accessories! One of my favorite combos!
A little bit of black on the shoes to balance out the dominating sweetness of the outfit.

Easter is unarguably one of the most historical day of our times. It marks death and rebirth - gone with the old, and in with the new. When I think of easter, I think of three colors: baby pink, baby yellow, and baby blue. This is my Easter-inspired outfit. I'm especially digging the sweater over a collared shirt trend. It turns a normal, casual sweater outfit into something more preppy and classy. Furthermore, the possibilities of textures, patterns, shapes and colors are endless! I can't wait to try them all until I exhaust the trend.
Hope you are all enjoying your Easter sunday, and I wish you a Happy Easter to those who celebrate!

San Francisco Photo Diary: Remembering Summer

I just love train stations. The peace enthralls me.
I really don't know what this is
I found a creek near UC Berkeley and started snapping some storybook pictures.
I am remembered of the summer I spent in San Francisco last year. I miss the weather dearly. Looking back just makes me more impatient for summer vacation!

Time is of the Essence

Completely casual today. This outfit I took out on a casual stroll with me down the mall. The stripes and the colors remind me of the U.S flag, a print that is on many people's fashion radar at the moment. Simple patterns like these actually call for clash I think.

I feel very youthful in this outfit. Speaking of youth, I have been doting upon the concept of maturity today. I know I actually woke up one day feeling more mature than I did yesterday. But how do we define it? I'd like to think of maturity as a completely human concept. Other animals seem to retain their pattern of thinking throughout their lives, but humans change. That's because humans are capable of thinking at higher levels - we're able to think about our thinking - all thanks to our fickle-friend, the frontal lobe. Animals, of course, don't have this higher cognition we do. I believe that maturity is when we abandon our base-level thinking such as I'm hungry, I want that, I'm bored to higher-level processing. I saw a child today who was crying over a toy and the adults rushed to soothe him and alleviate his seemingly burning and desperate desires. When the boy grows up, he'll look back at this incident and shudder at how immature he was. This is why as we grow older, we encounter less embarrassing situations.

But I might be wrong. What do you think?
